Some exciting changes are coming to Microsoft’s OneDrive/OneDrive for Business platforms later this year. OneDrive lets you share files securely with anyone inside or outside your organization. With its deep Office integration, you have the rich co-authoring features which allow you to collaborate on any shared file that is stored on your OneDrive/OneDrive for Business in real time. OneDrive also lets you quickly access all your documents that may be stored in Office 365 including your individual work files and files shared with you by individuals, teams and the organization, regardless of what platform you may be using.

See all your files in File Explorer with OneDrive Files On-Demand

Last month at Microsoft’s Build ’17 conference, Microsoft announced OneDrive Files On-Demand, coming to preview on Windows 10 this summer. Files On-Demand enables you to work with all your files in Office 365 both work and personal, across OneDrive and SharePoint right from File Explorer. Now you will can have all your most critical files on your laptop without using up the storage space of your device.

Easier Sharing Within OneDrive/SharePoint

Another great feature coming to OneDrive & SharePoint is the ability to share files directly from File Explorer on PC and Finder on Mac. The sharing experience has been simplified, so you can share a file or folder with people or send a link that enables anyone who needs access, inside or outside your organization. Also, you can now control how long a link provides access and you easily view and modify the permissions you have granted. This new sharing experience will be the same whether you share on the web, on your Windows 10 device, or within the Finder on Mac.
