Greystone by the Numbers  is an admittedly convoluted way to introduce you to another side of our team! These brief “interviews” begin by putting everyone’s name in a numbered list and a number randomizer is used to pick 3 “chosen ones” each month.  After those 3 have been chosen, they select 5 numbers from 1 to 67, each corresponding to a question which was unbeknownst to them.  What happens next…is for your reading pleasure.

Josh Stess, Digital Marketing Strategist

JoshStessIf you could give your 16 year old self one piece of advice, what would it be?

Stop playing video games and learn to rock climb. Build up that decade tendon strength. Then maybe I could go pro at like 40.

What is the best lie that you have ever told?

At camp I convinced a kid I was an alien (I was really sunburned). I am not sure.

What is the unhealthiest thing you have ever eaten?

I think I ate some tinfoil last night with my burrito to go.

What technology do you wish you understood better?

Cryptography, any kind of detective or investigative work fascinates me. If only detectives actually solved mysteries as portrayed on TV I might have a different career. I definitely get lost solving or researching an issue. Google Analytics is a great outlet for that kind of activity. Needless to say, True Detective is an amazing show.

What is one of your pet peeves?

Yes.

Megan Cline, Website Designer & Developer

What part of pop culture do you wish would just go away?megancline

I have a love/hate relationship with social media.  I do love that you can get the word out there fast and I love being able to take some fun pictures and share it with friends/family…however, there comes a time and place where the sharing needs to stop. I’m guilty of sharing the crazy antics of my little 10lb dog, or my recent home DIY project, but everyone doesn’t need to know what I do every second of my day.  Privacy is a good thing!

If you met a genie, and he offered you 3 wishes, what would they be?

One, an endless supply of funding to do all of my DIYing.  Two, good health for myself and family. Three, for every child to feel loved and have a happy home.

Do you live by any motto or philosophy?

Love God and love people the way that I want to be loved. These are the 2 most important things that we’re told to do.  I will honor God in everything I do.  And I try to love everyone – yes, some people make it very difficult to love – but if I try to love everyone, then it’s possible to see the good in people. Everyone deserves that!

Would you rather spend a day in the woods or at the beach?

Probably the woods – I’m fair skinned and burn so easily! At least the woods would protect me from that.  Plus I’m  a Colorado girl from the start, hard to take the mountains and trees out of this girl.

What is your most treasured possession and why?

This one is hard – I don’t value my possessions too tightly, it’s not really worth it.  But if I had to choose, it would probably be my wedding/engagement rings because of what it symbolizes.  My husband and family are my most treasured possessions – that’s all I need in life.

Mike Harrison, Business and Technology Advisor

mikeIf you could have a drink with someone from history, who would it be and why?

Abraham Lincoln –  I think it would blow his mind to find out the beard has turned into a fashion trend for hipsters. After we’re a couple drinks in, I would explain what a hipster is.

What was your first job?

I worked at a deli counter in high school. It wasn’t the flashiest job, but I was able to save up and buy my 1st car which was a 93 Probe Gt. Pretty bad a–.

Name 3 things in nature you find the most beautiful.

Sunrise, Sunset and a Strong willed, independent woman.

What was your first email address?

H-michael@… Pretty lame but still use it to this day. After the military I primarily used 1983airborne, representing being airborne in the Army and my birth year.

If you owned a luxury yacht, what would you name it?

The Jessica… If I owned a Yacht, my fiancé would own half and I wouldn’t get the choice in the name.
