It’s official! We are now in July (where did the time go?!). Despite summer vacations, there are still great opportunities to get out and socialize with the Denver business community. Below are a few highlighted events that I predict will have quality speakers and attendance. These are also going to be fun and worth the time away from the office.
Friday July 7th, 7:30am-9:00am, Collaborators Without Borders
The South Metro Denver Chamber’s Women in Business group is teaming up with their Economic Development group to bring together this panel that includes the Mayor of Centennial, Mayor of Lonetree, and the Vice Chancellor of Enterprise Development to discuss economic development, city expansion, creating educational pipelines and public/public partnerships that contribute to the vitality and well-being of a region that provides more than 30% of Colorado’s GDP. This is free to chamber members, and only $15 for non-members.
Why you should attend: If you live or have a business in S. Denver, this will be a great opportunity to hear what is going on in the community, how you are affected, and have the chance to ask questions about S. Denver.

July 11th 7:30am-9:00am CEO Breakfast Roundtable
This event is put on by the Colorado Business Roundtable, an advocate for proactive, pro-business legislation that strengthens the economy and allows businesses to grow and thrive in Colorado and the region. They are bringing together CEO’s from CH2M, Ball Corp, and Liberty Global for a panel discussion on the challenges and opportunities they face leading fortune companies.
Why you should attend: The companies represented in this panel are based here in Colorado, yet they have multiple locations across the country and the globe. Running a national or international company is a huge feat, and I feel that they have value to offer those who are also C level, upper management, or those who are aspiring to be in these positions one day. Also, CO Business Roundtable events draws out quality and heavily involved (in the public, private, and government sectors) individuals. There should be some good networking going on here.

Thursday July 13th, 6:00pm-7:30pm, Marketing Mavens
General Assembly and the Marketing Mavens group is hosting this fireside chat with senior and C level marketing executives. This all female group will have an open discussion about the industry and allow audience members to ask them anything.
Why attend: If you are in marketing, you should be here! This is a great chance to pick the brains of high level marketers and its free. Enough said.
